LP_mode_values

ofiber.cylinder_step.LP_mode_values(V, ell)[source]

Calculate all guided b for mode ell in a circular step-index fiber.

If there is no such mode, returns an empty array

Note that in the returned array b[0] will correspond to LP_ell,1

Parameters:

  • V – V-parameter for optical fiber [-]

  • ell – primary fiber mode (integer) [-]

Returns:

array of normalized propagation constant for mode ell [-]
